FULL DAY TOURS
Full day trip to the capital city, Nicosia
After breakfast we meet with our guide at the hotel’s hall and we start our journey with a comfortable A/C bus. Nicosia is the capital of North Cyprus. In the ancient walled city of Nicosia we will see historical monuments such as the Selimiye Mosque (St. Sophia Cathedral), the Buyuk Han (Great Caravanserai), the Venetian Column and the Kyrenia Gate. We will also see the Nicosia Green Line Border Gate (opportunity to see the buildings affected from the war and the United Nations soldiers) and there will be possible to cross to the Southern part of Nicosia. There will be free time provided while it is possible to try local meals, the Turkish coffee or to get some souvenirs. Around 4 o’clock we return back to the hotel.
Full day trip to Famagusta, the “town of Othello”
After breakfast we meet with our guide at the hotel’s hall and we start our journey with a comfortable A/C bus. We start our day visiting the enchanting St. Barnabas Monastery and Archaeological Museum then we continue to Salamis ancient city, where St. Barnabas was born. Here we will see the theatre, the gymnasium, baths, market place and the city ruins left behind from ancient times. Then we continue our trip towards to Famagusta, the ‘open air museum’ of North Cyprus. We will here visit places like the Othello Tower (is under renovation and is only possible to see from outside) the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque (St. Nicolas Cathedral) and the Venetian Palace. There will be free time provided while it is possible to try local meals, the Turkish coffee or to get some souvenirs. Around 4 o’clock we return back to the hotel.
Full day trip to the Karpaz peninsula, the white sandy beaches of Northern Cyprus
After breakfast we meet with our guide at the hotel’s hall and we start our journey with a comfortable A/C bus. On our way to the very eastern tip of the island, we will first stop to see the Aya Tria (Sipahi Basilica) (is closed on Sundays) remains. Then we continue to the Apostolos Andreas Monastery, where we will visit its church and will have a spectacular view to the Mediterranean Sea. We will have the opportunity to spot some wild donkeys too! We then go to the Golden Beach which is the favourite egg laying place of marine turtles. During the free time we will spend here, we can swim in the crystal clear blue sea and can have some local lunch. Around 4 o’clock we return back to the hotel.
Full day trip to Morphou, the “town of oranges”
After breakfast we meet with our guide at the hotel’s hall and we start our journey with a comfortable A/C bus. Our first stop is at Korucam, the village of maronites, where Greek and Turkish Cypriots still live together. From here we go to Morphou, where we will visit the Archaeological Museum and the St. Mamas Church. We then continue to the ancient city of Soli, where the mosaics of the basilica and the remains of the theatre and market place can be still seen until today. After Soli we will go Vuni Palace, located on a hill top and from where there is a spectacular view to the little island of Petra tou Limnidi. There will be free time provided while it is possible to try local meals, the Turkish coffee or to get some souvenirs. Around 4 o’clock we return back to the hotel.
