These mysterious prehistoric structures, in the shape of circular, inward leaning buildings, are known as Nawamis, and are believed to be burial chambers dating back to the Cooper Stone Age (4000 – 3150 BC). Constructed using sandstone slabs, archaeologists unearthed shell bracelets, colored beads, flint tools, tiny jugs as well as bone and copper tools from within and suspect them to be funeral offerings.
